MLH Learning From Home

On 25 of March Wednesday 2020 to the 18 of May on Monday we were told firmly that we had to Stay home and Save lives.  We 

couldn’t go out of the house so that meant no school and so we 

had to do learning from home for five weeks.

We had subjects to do every week, these were the subjects: the 

first week we didn’t have a subject, the second week it was 

close to Anzac day so our week was Anzac themed, then our next 

week was Animal Kingdom so we learnt lots about animals, After 

that was World Famous and  our last one was Storytime themed.

My favourite theme was world famous because I got to do the person who was keeping us safe throughout the lockdown… Jacinda Ardern!!

Yay!  We had to do a Flipgrid ( a video ) of us dressed up as our famous person, I sort of  looked like Jacinda!

Every Friday was fancy Friday so we had to dress up in whatever

that weeks theme was on our Google meets which are meeting’s

but they are Socially distanced. 

I was scared at first but the learning was so much fun and I was so happy to get back to school and see all my friends and teachers!! 

Now we are all back at school with all my friends!!

Math game

Today I was learning to make math games on slides.

I enjoyed doing the maths.

I found it challenging to put the links in.

My digital learning object shows 2, 5 and 10 time tables.

Next time I would change the colour of my font.

Kia ora my name is Esther. I go to Wainui Beach School. I have a mum and dad, one brother and a little dog. I am in year 4. I am a Kwi. I live in Gisborne, New Zealand.

I am good at writing and reading. I love playing netball and playing Busted with my friends. This year I am trying to learn all of my times tables. This year I'm going to try and stay healthy because I always get sick. I am looking forward to more reading and more art.

Stephanie Gilmore inspires me because she's really good at surfing and she's won lots of prizes and she is so cool. She's really worked hard to achieve her goals. I hope I'm going to be a surfer when I grow up too. Gizzy is the best!

Week 9

Mums are always kind, they give you what you want ( sometimes! ) Mums cook, feed you, care for you all the time and clean the house, all on their own.

 They help you with hard things you can't do by yourself, they are strict for good reasons, they ask their work to have days off just for special occasions ( like your birthday. )

 She comforts you if you don't want to do something.  But most importantly is that she wastes her time to care for you, so always love her no matter what!
