Kia ora my name is Esther. I go to Wainui Beach School. I have a mum and dad, one brother and a little dog. I am in year 4. I am a Kwi. I live in Gisborne, New Zealand.

I am good at writing and reading. I love playing netball and playing Busted with my friends. This year I am trying to learn all of my times tables. This year I'm going to try and stay healthy because I always get sick. I am looking forward to more reading and more art.

Stephanie Gilmore inspires me because she's really good at surfing and she's won lots of prizes and she is so cool. She's really worked hard to achieve her goals. I hope I'm going to be a surfer when I grow up too. Gizzy is the best!

Week 9

Mums are always kind, they give you what you want ( sometimes! ) Mums cook, feed you, care for you all the time and clean the house, all on their own.

 They help you with hard things you can't do by yourself, they are strict for good reasons, they ask their work to have days off just for special occasions ( like your birthday. )

 She comforts you if you don't want to do something.  But most importantly is that she wastes her time to care for you, so always love her no matter what!

My Crazy Pet...

My 8th Birthday

Saturday was the day before my birthday.  Mum took me to Pharmacy 53 to get my ears pierced.
For my earrings I chose tiny little silver studs because my ear lobes were tiny!  We picked up Lila   (because I was having a sleepover with her) and went home.  Me, Lila, Mum, Dad and Tosh went out for dinner at the Marina and we had a beef kebab with a garden salad and hot chips.  Mum had made pavlova so we went home had that and watched a movie.

In the morning I was so excited I think I woke up Lila, oops!  I got a Barbie with a kayak and jet ski.  I also got a helmet, some pants and a really cute fluffy bunny keyring.  We had pancakes and then played till about 10 am.  Then Lila went to motocross.  Oh!

We had a big lunch with family and I got more presents and I loved my pillow that was shaped as a star and I could hang my bunny on it.  I had the best day ever.  Even the Marina lady said her 8th birthday was the best because 8 goes round and round, it's the symbol for infinity.

Anaura Bay

Week 8
In the weekend me and my family, Nana, my step Grandad, Aunty, Uncle and cousin went to Anaura Bay for Nana's birthday.  Me and Tosh ( my brother ) chose the bunk beds in a container  to sleep in  because there was another container right next to it for Mum and Dad to sleep in.


On Saturday Dad, Uncle Fish, Lucy and Mike ( my step grandad ) went diving off the boat.  I wasn't  there but they came back saying that Mike almost drowned because of his weight belt!!!! I do not know why this happened but I can say it was weird.  Mum, Nana and my Aunty went walking and saw a horse that didn't move.  Nana turned and fell into a rocky river, she was soaking.


Well at least I had some fun... me and Lucy went kayaking and we caught a wave into shore, but I fell off and the boat bumped my nose!!!  We were all in the wars on that trip.  Before we left I watched Fantastic Mr. Fox and ate this thing that was white and sweet and it had pistachios in it, it looked like a bar of fuge.  I love Anaura Bay!!!!!

Mum's Birthday

Saturday was my Mum's birthday.  Dad got her a necklace, earrings and a book.  Me and my brother made a card each at Nana's house with old cards.   Mum didn't like the earrings because she hadn't seen them so we had to take them back, but she liked the necklace.


Also Saturday was swimming lessons for me and Tosh so we got a spirulina and a pie afterwards. Then Mum took the earrings back and got her money back.  When Mum went to drop off the earrings she met a friend and she took Mum to a cafe because it was her birthday.


At Nana's we had a lovely dinner and one of the best cakes ever...Pear cake.  I got to sleep in Mum and Dad's bedroom on a mattress. I love my Mum!
